Bitpanda: accessible from $10? My 2026 review
The European multi-asset platform that makes investing accessible from $10, from stocks to crypto to physical gold.
The beginner who wants to invest from $10 in stocks, ETFs, crypto and metals in one app
Our take
My take on Bitpanda
Bitpanda started in Vienna back in 2014, founded by Eric Demuth, Paul Klanschek and Christian Trummer. A decade on, it has become the multi-asset platform a lot of Europeans reach for first, with more than 7 million customers on the books. What struck me when I opened the app is how much sits behind a single login: cash stocks and ETFs, 600+ cryptocurrencies held in real custody, four physical precious metals and automated savings plans, the whole thing unlocking from a $10 deposit. Your very first purchase can be as small as $1.
The idea is easy to state and harder to pull off: invest simply, keep the cost low, and do it under serious regulation. Bitpanda was one of the first names in Europe to land MiCA licences, from Germany's BaFin in January 2025 and Austria's FMA in April 2025. Since January 2026 it has also carried some 10,000 stocks and ETFs at a flat fee of one euro (around $1.20) per order, no matter the size. Trustpilot sits at 4.0/5 across more than 15,000 reviews, and the app holds 4.7/5 on the App Store. At this scale, those are the numbers I trust.
“Stocks at a flat one-euro order fee, 600+ cryptocurrencies in real custody and physical gold, all in one app. Bitpanda is among the most complete all-in-one platforms in Europe, and it opens from $10. ”

The essentials

Safety & regulation
Is your money safe?
Bitpanda runs out of Vienna under the MiCA authorisation that Austria's FMA granted on 9 April 2025, which lets it passport its crypto services right across the European Union. The group had already picked up one of Europe's first MiCA licences from Germany's BaFin in January 2025, with a further authorisation from Malta's MFSA. Stocks and ETFs go through Bitpanda Financial Services GmbH, an investment firm the FMA licenses under MiFID II. Your money stays walled off from the company's own: crypto is held in real custody with the bulk in cold storage, the precious metals sit fully insured in Swiss vaults and the legal ownership stays yours, and cash sits in separate bank accounts. Two-factor authentication switches on for any account in a few seconds.

Fees & spreads
What does it really cost?
Its cost against the average of the brokers we track (shorter bar = cheaper).
Pricing on securities is about as plain as it gets. One euro (around $1.20) per order across some 10,000 stocks and ETFs, whatever you invest, and that is the whole bill. No custody fees, no account-keeping fees, nothing on deposits or withdrawals. Automated savings plans run free of a service charge too. Put aside $100 or $200 a month and you can read your costs in a glance, January through December.
Crypto works on an all-inclusive price. The premium starts at 0.99% on Bitcoin and runs to 1.49% on most large caps, already baked into the figure on screen before you confirm. What you see is what you pay, and I like that you never have to reverse-engineer it. The minimum deposit is $10 and a first buy can be just $1, so you can get a feel for the platform without putting real weight behind it.

Few mainstream apps in Europe spread this wide. You get about 8,000 stocks and 2,500 ETFs in cash form, whole or fractional shares, more than 600 cryptocurrencies in real custody that you can pull out to your own wallet, and four physical precious metals, gold, silver, platinum and palladium, kept in secure, insured, LBMA-accredited vaults in Switzerland. The in-house crypto indices (BCI) let you buy the top 5, 10 or 25 of the market in a single tap, and they rebalance on their own.
You can feel the platform was built for investing a bit at a time. Savings plans run from $10 on a daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly cadence, and staking pays out weekly on more than 50 coins, restaking automatically so you never have to think about it. The Bitpanda Card, a Visa, ties it all together: it settles everyday spending from whichever asset you pick, cash, metals or crypto, and pays bitcoin cashback when you pay in crypto.

The verdict
The verdict
Bitpanda does something very few European platforms manage. It gathers cash stocks and ETFs at a flat one-euro order fee, 600+ cryptocurrencies in real custody, physical metals and automated savings plans into one app you can master in minutes. The regulation is first-rate, with MiCA licences from BaFin and the FMA and a MiFID II investment firm behind the securities, the pricing is out in the open, and that $10 entry point makes it a genuinely easy way into the markets. After spending time in it, what stays with me is how little friction there is between deciding to invest and actually doing it. Whether you are building a first portfolio or automating a monthly multi-asset savings habit, Bitpanda is an excellent choice and one of the most complete platforms in the HelloBrokers comparison.
