Vantage: very competitive fees? My 2026 review
Raw ECN spreads from 0.0 pip and a USD 50 entry point put Vantage among the sharpest pricing grids an Irish trader can reach, but our sources document no EU or Central Bank of Ireland entity, so the company you sign with decides your protections.

Our take
My take on Vantage
Vantage opened in Sydney in 2009 and now runs one of the more rounded multi-asset derivative offers an Irish trader can reach, which is why it carries a 4.8 rating and the low fees badge in our Ireland broker ranking. The pricing is what earns that: Raw ECN spreads open at 0.0 pip on EUR/USD with a flat USD 3 commission per lot per side, nothing is charged for holding or sitting idle, and you can start from USD 50 where three of the eight brokers in our comparison ask USD 100. Support answers round the clock, the other half of the note our ranking gives it.
The part that deserves a slower read is the licence. Vantage runs regulated entities under ASIC, the FCA, CIMA and the FSCA, and Vantage Global Limited holds the VFSC licence as the international entity serving most clients worldwide. Our sources show no EU entity and no Central Bank of Ireland authorisation, and that matters: the protections an Irish retail client expects, the ESMA 1:30 leverage cap among them, follow the entity you contract with rather than the country you live in.
“Vantage gives an Irish trader 0.0 pip Raw ECN pricing from a USD 50 deposit, but our sources show no EU entity, so the company on your client agreement is what sets your leverage and your protections. ”

Safety & regulation
Is your money safe?
Firms serving Irish clients from inside the European Union are supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland or by another EU regulator passporting in, under the ESMA rulebook that caps retail forex leverage at 1:30 and requires negative balance protection. Vantage does not appear in our sources with an entity in that group. What it holds is a stack of licences outside the EU, each tied to a real supervisor: Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd answers to ASIC in Australia under AFSL no. 428901, Vantage Global Prime LLP to the FCA in the United Kingdom, Vantage International Group Limited to CIMA in the Cayman Islands under licence no. 1383491, Vantage Markets (Pty) Ltd to the FSCA in South Africa, and Vantage Global Limited holds the VFSC licence as the international entity serving most clients worldwide. Client money sits in segregated accounts at tier-1 international banks, apart from the firm's own capital, with negative balance protection, two-factor authentication and biometric login on the app, plus a Lloyd's of London policy covering eligible claims up to USD 1,000,000 per claimant. The distinction worth keeping is where those safeguards come from: under an EU entity the leverage cap and negative balance protection are rules a regulator enforces, whereas here they are terms the broker sets per entity. So read which Vantage company signs your client agreement, then check the leverage and complaint route it gives you. If you would rather have a locally supervised counterparty, AvaTrade is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland through AVA Trade EU Ltd, ref. C53877, and sits second in our Ireland ranking.

Fees & spreads
What does it really cost?
Its cost against the average of the brokers we track (shorter bar = cheaper).
On cost alone Vantage does what it says. The Raw ECN account opens EUR/USD at 0.0 pip with a flat USD 3 commission per standard lot per side, USD 6 on the round turn, and gold from 0.1 pip; the Standard STP account drops the commission for spreads from 1.0 pip, both opening from USD 50. Deposits and withdrawals are free, nothing is charged for inactivity, and our indicative estimate puts the all-in cost of a round-turn lot at roughly USD 8 against about USD 13 for the average broker we track.
Then comes the euro question. Every figure above is quoted in US dollars, and our sources do not document a euro base currency for Vantage. If your bank account is in euro, two costs are left to check before you deposit: what your own bank charges on the transfer, since Vantage charges nothing on deposits, and whether the account converts euro to dollars on the way in and back on the way out. Matching the base currency to your funding route is what stops you paying conversion twice, so ask what your entity offers.
Tax is the other cost, with one caveat that matters here. An individual pays capital gains tax at 33% on a chargeable gain, after an annual personal exemption of EUR 1,270 that cannot be transferred to a spouse or carried forward. Allowable losses come off before the exemption, and unused losses carry forward indefinitely. Payment runs on two windows: disposals from 1 January to 30 November are paid by 15 December, December disposals by 31 January of the following year, with the return on Form CG1 or within your Form 11. Crypto held as an investment is within the same 33% regime, and a swap between two coins counts as a disposal, while Irish and EU UCITS funds and ETFs sit outside CGT under exit tax at 41% with an eight-year deemed disposal. The caveat: our Irish calculator covers those three cases and not derivative contracts, which is all Vantage offers, so take your CFD position to Revenue or a qualified adviser rather than assuming the 33% figure applies to it. This is not tax advice.

Instruments & markets covered
Instruments & markets covered
More than 1,000 instruments sit under one login, all of them derivatives. For a euro-based trader the natural starting point among the 40+ forex pairs is EUR/USD at 0.0 pip on the Raw ECN account, with the euro crosses alongside it. The indices an Irish portfolio is most likely to track are here, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 alongside the DAX 40 and FTSE 100, and share derivatives cover the US, European, Australian and Hong Kong markets, with our source naming Tesla, Apple, Microsoft and Alibaba; if you follow particular Irish listings, check the market list before you open an account. Add commodities from gold and silver to oil and natural gas, ETF and bond derivatives, and 40+ crypto pairs.
Two consequences follow from the fact that none of this is owned. The first is the point of the account: it is built for active trading, not buy-and-hold, so the euro you fund it with is working capital rather than a holding. The second is specific to Ireland. Vantage lists ETF derivatives, but a derivative is not a fund unit, so nothing here puts you inside the Irish fund regime with its 41% exit tax and eight-year deemed disposal, and nothing here pays a dividend on a share you own or adds Irish stamp duty to a cost base. What a CFD position does attract instead is the part our Irish calculator does not model, so it is a question for Revenue rather than for this page. If you want to own real stocks and ETFs from Ireland and hold them for years, that is a different product: XTB sits fifth in our Ireland ranking with 0% commission on real stocks and ETFs.

Cost-focused active trader in Ireland
The profile Vantage is built for. Raw ECN spreads from 0.0 pip on EUR/USD with a flat USD 3 per lot per side, gold from 0.1 pip, no inactivity or withdrawal fees, and an indicative all-in cost of about USD 8 per round-turn lot against roughly USD 13 for the average broker we track. The flat commission also means a position's cost is knowable before you open it.
-
Irish beginner starting small
A USD 50 opening deposit, an unlimited demo with USD 100,000 in virtual funds, copy trading in the app and 24/7 support make for a gentle start. Two cautions: pricing is quoted in dollars with no euro base currency documented, and the entity you sign with may sit outside the EU, so the 1:30 retail leverage cap is not guaranteed.
-
Algorithmic or high-volume trader
MT4 and MT5 with Expert Advisors, ProTrader for TradingView charting, depth of market on MT5, Pro ECN conditions for substantial volume, and leverage documented up to 1:500 on the international entity rather than the ESMA 1:30 cap. That last point should be a deliberate choice.

The verdict
The verdict
For an Irish trader, Vantage splits into a strong half and a half that needs checking. The strong half is the cost and the kit: Raw ECN pricing from 0.0 pip with a flat USD 3 per side, a USD 50 entry point, nothing charged for holding or withdrawing, 1,000+ instruments, MT4, MT5 and ProTrader, copy trading in the app, support at any hour and an unlimited USD 100,000 demo. That is what earns the low fees badge and the 4.8 rating in our Ireland ranking, and the 4.4/5 Trustpilot rating across 12,000+ reviews agrees. The half that needs checking is the licence: our sources show no EU entity and no Central Bank of Ireland authorisation, and Vantage Global Limited under the VFSC licence serves most clients worldwide. Segregated funds and the Lloyd's cover are real, but they are the broker's arrangements rather than an EU regulator's rules, and the ESMA 1:30 retail cap is not automatic here, with our source documenting up to 1:500 on the international entity. So read which company signs your agreement before you fund. If EU supervision is a condition rather than a preference, our Ireland ranking gives you two routes: AvaTrade, second in our ranking and authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland, or Eightcap, one of its lowest-cost brokers and serving EU clients under CySEC. Either way, leveraged derivatives carry a high risk of capital loss, and the Irish tax treatment of derivative contracts is a question for Revenue rather than one our calculator answers.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ Vantage
Is Vantage reliable?
Vantage is an established broker, founded in 2009, with segregated client money at tier-1 banks, Lloyd's of London cover up to USD 1,000,000 per eligible claimant and 4.4/5 on Trustpilot across more than 12,000 reviews. One thing an Irish client should know before funding: our sources show no EU entity and no Central Bank of Ireland authorisation. The licences we document are ASIC (AFSL no. 428901), the FCA, CIMA (no. 1383491), the FSCA and the VFSC, so check which company signs your agreement.
Why choose Vantage?
For cost and for the kit. Raw ECN opens EUR/USD at 0.0 pip with a flat USD 3 per lot per side, nothing is charged for inactivity, holding or withdrawing, and the entry point is USD 50 where three of the eight brokers in our Ireland ranking ask USD 100. On top of that sit 1,000+ instruments, MT4, MT5, ProTrader with TradingView charting, copy trading in the app and 24/7 support, which is what earns the 4.8 rating and the low fees badge in our ranking. The reason to look twice is regulatory: our sources show no EU entity, so the 1:30 ESMA retail cap is not automatic and our source documents up to 1:500 on the international VFSC entity. Treat leverage as a deliberate decision rather than a default.
What are the fees at Vantage?
Raw ECN: spreads from 0.0 pip on EUR/USD with a USD 3 commission per lot per side, USD 6 round turn. Standard STP: commission-free with spreads from 1.0 pip. Both open from USD 50, with no deposit, inactivity or withdrawal fee. The euro detail to check yourself is currency: our sources document no euro base currency, so confirm it at onboarding and check what your bank charges on the transfer.
Who is Vantage for?
It is built for the active trader rather than the long-term investor, and there is an account for each level of experience: a beginner can start from USD 50, learn on the unlimited demo with USD 100,000 in virtual funds and lean on copy trading in the app, while an experienced trader gets the Raw ECN grid, 1,000+ instruments and full MT4/MT5 automation, with Pro ECN conditions reserved for substantial volume. It does not suit the Irish buy-and-hold investor, since everything here is a leveraged derivative and nothing confers ownership of a share, an ETF unit or a coin. Nor does it suit anyone who wants an EU-supervised counterparty, since our sources show no EU or Central Bank of Ireland entity.
Is it easy to withdraw from Vantage?
Yes. Withdrawals are free by bank transfer, card or e-wallet and our source has them processed typically within one business day, with support reachable 24/7. Two things to check from Ireland. First, currency: pricing is quoted in US dollars and our sources document no euro base currency, so ask which base currency your account runs in before you fund it, or you can pay conversion on the way in and again on the way out. Second, the entity: the company that signs your client agreement is also the one that handles your withdrawal and your complaint route, and our sources show no EU or Central Bank of Ireland entity for Vantage.
